Put your brand in front of public sector buyers
GovWire readers are the people who research, choose, and buy technology for federal, state and local, and education agencies. Paid placements run as flat monthly fees, are always labeled Sponsored, and carry campaign tags on their links.

All placements
Every placement includes
- A Sponsored label on the unit, so readers always know it is paid
- Campaign tags on the click-through link, so traffic shows up in your own analytics
- Rotation among a maximum of four sponsors per placement, so no advertiser dominates
Every placement rotates among a maximum of four sponsors. Fees as of October 8, 2026 and subject to change. Every unit carries your logo, so send it with your booking. Then either send finished banner artwork at 970x90, with a 320x100 mobile cut if you have one, or let GovWire build the unit at no cost from a headline, one supporting line and a button label, with an optional image beside the copy. Twelve-month commitments take 15% off the listed monthly fee. Advertising is separate from Exchange partner tiers and has no effect on directory inclusion or the GovWire lists.
How sponsored placements work
GovWire sells placement, not influence. Three rules apply to every campaign that runs on the site.
Paid placements are labeled
Every unit carries a Sponsored label next to the creative, with the advertiser named. A placement never reads as editorial or as a partner listing.
Advertisers do not shape editorial
Buying a placement has no effect on what GovWire covers, which companies are in the Exchange, or who appears on the GovWire 150 and Next 30. Those decisions stay with the editorial team.
You can follow your own traffic
Every unit links out with campaign tags, so the traffic it sends shows up in your own analytics.
What we need from your team
Send this list to whoever is producing the campaign. Two routes cover every placement, and if anything is missing we will come back for it rather than delay your start date.
Let GovWire build the unit
Most campaigns run this way. Send the copy and we build the creative for you, at no extra charge.
- A headline, the first line a reader sees
- One short supporting sentence, optional
- A button label, for example Learn more
- An image for beside the copy, optional, landscape and at least 720x400
Send finished banner artwork
Send the artwork and we run it as supplied, with your logo and the Sponsored label added above it.
- 970x90 for desktop and tablet
- 320x100 for phones, if you have that cut (otherwise the 970x90 is scaled down)
- A headline for the artwork, used as the description read out to screen readers
Advertiser name
Shown inside the Sponsored label on the unit.
Your logo icon
A square or compact mark on a light or transparent background, at least 200x200, that stays readable on a white tile. If you cannot send one, your initial stands in.
Destination URL
Where the unit should send readers. Campaign tags are added to the link automatically at click time.
Campaign name
The tag name you want on the campaign, so the traffic is easy to find in your analytics.
Placement and run dates
Which placement, and the day you want the campaign to start and end.
- Your logo and creative are due five business days before the start date.
- Every unit is labeled Sponsored for the whole placement, with the advertiser named.
- Monthly placements are reserved and paid in three-month increments, and each placement rotates among a maximum of four sponsors.
- Advertising has no effect on Exchange inclusion or on the GovWire 150 and Next 30 lists.
Book a placement
Tell us what you want to promote and which placement fits. We will confirm availability, the current fee, and a start date, then send what we need from your creative. Placements are capped so the reader experience holds up, which means the strip and the news feeds are the two that fill first.
Availability and the current fee confirmed by reply. No payment is taken here
