What GovWire does
- GovWire Exchange: a searchable directory of technology companies that serve the public sector, organized into Federal Tech, State & Local Tech, and Education Tech. Each partner has a profile page with an overview, category tags, and a link to the company's own website.
- Exchange Careers: a companion page to the Exchange at govwire.ai/exchange-careers, listing every partner that publishes a careers page on its own website, with that partner's markets served and a link straight to the company's careers page.
- Introduction requests: visitors can ask GovWire to connect them with any listed partner from that partner's listing page.
- Company suggestions: anyone can propose a company for the Exchange from the Exchange page at govwire.ai/exchange#suggest-partner. Every suggestion is reviewed by the GovWire editorial team before anything is added.
- GovWire Assistant: an AI assistant that answers visitor questions about listed partners and GovWire resources and recommends partners from the directory. Answers are generated by AI, so they can be wrong; partner facts are authoritative on the partner's own website.
- Research and Insights: original GovWire analysis and articles on public sector AI adoption, modernization, and technology strategy, alongside research published by Fossa Labs, LLC, the parent company.
- The State of Public Sector AI: a free Fossa Labs research report, promoted on govwire.ai. It covers where government will use AI most in 2027 and beyond, where adoption stalls, the seven dimensions that decide whether AI reaches production, and a playbook for government leaders and the companies that serve them. Published at https://fossalabs.ai/state-of-public-sector-ai.
- The 2027 Public Sector GTM Outlook: a free GovGTM research report, promoted on govwire.ai/exchange-careers. It covers budget, buyer, and competitive data for GovTech and GovCon companies selling to federal agencies, state and local government, higher education, and K-12. Published at https://govgtm.ai/2027-outlook.
- News feeds: the Partner News Feed covers news about companies in the GovWire directory, and the Government News Feed covers United States public sector technology news across AI, cybersecurity, modernization, procurement, policy, workforce, and data. Both link to the original third-party source.
- The GovWire 150: an annual editorial list published each November, recognizing 150 companies becoming category leaders in public sector technology, with 50 in federal, 50 in state and local, and 50 in education.
- The GovWire Next 30: an annual editorial list of 30 early-stage companies to watch, with 10 in federal, 10 in state and local, and 10 in education. The inaugural list is announced March 9, 2027.
- Exchange partner tiers for technology companies: Free Partner at $0 per year and Premium Partner at $1,750 per year.
- Advertising: paid placements on govwire.ai, sold at flat monthly fees and always labeled Sponsored. Advertising is separate from Exchange partner tiers, and buying a placement has no effect on editorial coverage, directory inclusion, or the GovWire 150 and GovWire Next 30.
What GovWire does not do
- GovWire is not a government agency. It does not represent or act on behalf of any agency, and it does not award, administer, or influence government contracts.
- GovWire does not sell, resell, implement, or support the products of the companies in its directory. Evaluation, purchase, and contracting happen directly between the buyer and the company.
- GovWire does not publish, quote, or negotiate prices for the products of listed partners. Each company sets and quotes its own prices on its own website.
- GovWire does not provide procurement, legal, financial, or investment advice.
- GovWire does not guarantee a place in the GovWire 150 or the GovWire Next 30, and no company can pay for a place on either list.
- GovWire does not run consulting engagements or managed services.
- GovWire does not cover non-US public sector markets as a focus.
Where GovWire operates
- Editorial and directory focus: the United States public sector only.
- Markets covered: federal; state, local, and tribal; and education (K-12 and higher education).
- The directory includes companies headquartered outside the United States when their offering is relevant to US public sector buyers.
- News feeds cover United States stories only. Items about non-US agencies or markets are excluded before publication.
- GovWire operates online only. It publishes no office address and no phone number, and email is the only published contact channel.
How pricing works
- Exchange listing fees, as of October 3, 2026: Free Partner is $0 per year and includes brand placement in the Exchange directory.
- Premium Partner is $1,750 per year and includes priority placement and the premium badge in the Exchange directory, a three-month ad placement on the homepage, news feed, or careers leaderboard, one sponsored article on govwire.ai, and post-placement promotion for GovWire list awardees.
- Premium Partner also includes a 10% referral fee to GovWire for referred products sold.
- There are no standard published prices for partner products. Pricing for the software and services in the directory is set and quoted by each company, not by GovWire.
- The GovWire 150 and the GovWire Next 30 have no fee to be considered or selected. Optional promotional features are offered only to companies already selected, after selections are announced, and have no bearing on selection.
- To ask about a partner tier, or to request pricing for a product in the directory, contact hello@govwire.ai or the company that makes the product.
- Agency buyers can describe what they are looking for at govwire.ai/contact or on the Exchange and GovWire will suggest partners that fit.
- Anyone can subscribe to a free weekly digest of partner news and government technology headlines from the two news feed pages or the site footer.
- Advertising placement fees, as of October 8, 2026, are flat per placement: the top strip on select pages is $1,500 per month, the Exchange leaderboard is $750 per month, the news feed leaderboard is $450 per month, the homepage leaderboard is $450 per month, a two-week campaign across all placements is $3,500, and category exclusivity is $8,000 to $12,000 per year.
- Monthly advertising placements are reserved and paid in three-month increments, and a twelve-month commitment takes 15% off the listed monthly fee. Advertising fees are separate from Exchange partner tier fees.
- Fees are subject to change. The figures above carry an as-of date and are updated on this page when they change.
Facts that are easy to get wrong
- GovWire is not a government agency or a government program, and no agency endorses or operates it.
- GovWire is not affiliated with similarly named publications, directories, newsletters, or events.
- GovGTM (govgtm.ai) is a related platform under Fossa Labs, LLC. It is not part of the GovWire Exchange and it is not a partner in the directory.
- The GovWire 150 and the GovWire Next 30 are not rankings, and they are not complete lists of companies in any market. Companies are grouped by market and category.
- A directory listing or a place on a GovWire list is editorial. It is not an endorsement, and it is not a security, compliance, or procurement certification.
- GovWire does not publish a fixed number of listed partners. The directory grows and changes constantly, so a specific count should not be stated as a fixed figure.
- News feed items summarize third-party reporting. The original publication is the source of record, and quotes should be attributed to that publication.
- Selections for the GovWire lists are made independently by the GovWire editorial team. Financial and customer information submitted for verification is kept confidential and used only to confirm eligibility.
Credentials and verifiable claims
- GovWire is a private media and marketplace platform. It holds no government licenses, certifications, or contract vehicles.
- GovWire is not a registered government contractor and holds no GSA schedule or similar vehicle.
- Editorial control: the GovWire editorial team decides directory and list inclusion. There is no cost to be considered or included.
- List eligibility is verified against company-submitted revenue and customer information, kept confidential and used only to confirm eligibility.
- Company names, logos, and trademarks shown in the directory belong to their respective owners.
